My name is Christian Penn, and at 51 years old, I can proudly say I am a cancer survivor. This past year has been one of the hardest battles of my life. After undergoing surgery that took my bladder, followed by months of treatments and recovery, I am still healing from a surgical wound that has yet to fully close even after nearly a year.

Through it all, I’ve had two faithful companions by my side, my dogs Romeo and Milo, who have been my source of comfort, hope, and love. They’ve given me the strength to keep pushing forward when things feel impossible.

I’ve now returned to full-time work, but my physical limitations make it harder to keep up like I once could. On top of that, the months I spent on short-term disability left me struggling financially my income dropped to two thirds of my normal pay, and unfortunately, many important bills have fallen behind.

Still, I refuse to give up. I have a lifelong passion for technology, especially building and troubleshooting computers. I’m an IT technician by trade, but more than that, I’m someone who genuinely loves helping people solve their problems without being overcharged or overlooked. I’ve built many systems including my own and I dream of turning this passion into something greater.

That dream is my small business, DS Technologies. My vision is to create an affordable, reliable service that empowers people while allowing me to work from home, sustain myself, and continue caring for Romeo and Milo. But right now, I can’t do it alone.

I’m not asking for the full amount to launch everything at once. What I need is a little help a lifeline to get through the bills that piled up during my recovery and enough to get started with some basic stock and tools for my business. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to standing on my own two feet again and creating something lasting out of this journey of survival.

Cancer took a lot from me, but it did not take my determination, my hope, or my will to keep moving forward. With your support, I can build not only a business but also a brighter, more stable future for myself and my two best friends, Romeo and Milo.
