On February 1st, at our annual Posse Plus Retreat, the world lost Christian Guzman. His UCLA Posse friends are asking for help at this time of need to assist his family in covering funeral costs and to honor his memory through a memorial fund. 
 
Christian was a phenomenal UCLA scholar, a loving son, brother, and friend.

He was a first-generation college student about to graduate UCLA in the spring with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics. Christian was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at a young age and traveled around the UCLA campus on a motorized wheelchair. Despite his obstacles, he managed to be at the top of his high school class, receiving both Posse Foundation  and Warren Christopher scholarships upon entering UCLA. 

On the UCLA campus, Christian was an advocate for underrepresented students of color in STEM; assisting any student who needed help in a usual competitive field of study.

If you knew Christian, there are no words to describe how amazing he was. His genuine, kind heart, and sense of humor brought amazing joy to everyone’s life.

El día 1 de febrero, el mundo perdió a Christian Guzman. Sus amigos de UCLA Posse están pidiendo ayuda en este momento de necesidad para ayudar a su familia en la cobertura de los gastos funerarios y para honrar su memoria a través de un fondo conmemorativo.

Christian era un gran escolar, un amoroso hijo, hermano y amigo.
