On behalf of the family of Christian Fredrick Philip Chyle, it is with a very heavy heart, we share the passing of our beloved Christian.
If you had the pleasure of knowing our son Christian, than you know he was a very sweet, loving, caring, compassionate, sensitive, intelligent, funny, creative, and talented human being who brought a spark of joy to all the lives he touched. He was a skilled musician who spoke his soul through music, a fierce and steadfast friend who cared deeply for those he loved. We ask you to celebrate with us all the amazing things that made Christian such an inspiring, independent individual, we called it “Beat to His Own Drum”. From day one Christian loved music, family, and people. His musical ability grew as he did, and he touched many people with his talent. He loved a wide variety of music. One of his favorite bands was the Beattles, the one song that stands out the most to all of us is “All You Need Is Love”. He was such a loving human being, and just wanted to live in a loving world. He was the best son any father or mother could have, the best brother a sister could want, and the best friend to all that embraced him.
The uniqueness and quirky style that he showed the world with pride and gusto, also masked a deep sadness that he couldn’t release. When faced with the unwitting ugliness that occurs in the world, his caring soul was wounded more than we could know.
Tragically, he took his own life on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
Christian left a thoughtful note sharing the only way he felt he could find peace from the demons he held locked away even from those closest to him. His tender nature we all admired for its compassion, also hid a pain that he was not able to reconcile. As a result of his very sensitive and unique spirit and his beautiful red hair, he was a target of bullying from a very early age. All the amazing things the people that knew him celebrated were used as a source of material to be mean to him. Despite our many conversations over the years about the kids in his age group; he was never able to understand how they could be so mean and cruel, and say so many negative and critical things. Bullying has consequences.
Although his death is tragic, we will not let his wonderful, short life be in vain. His body will give life and hope to a dozen family’s, who can now experience as much joy as we now feel despair. We will make his sacrifice speak out for those who feel the pain he experienced, and his life will continue to impact others in the same way he has touched all of ours. This will be his legacy.
Heaven has received an amazing guitarist. We will miss our beloved angel Christian more than words can ever express.
An announcement with details for the Celebration of his Life will be held in the near future.
