Christian Konoval has earned a spot on the 2019 USA Judo IJF Junior World Team to represent the United States at the IJF Junior World Championships in Marrakesh, Morocco October 16-19th. Currently Christian is ranked No. 1 Nationally in the USA Judo Cadet +90 kg and the IJF Junior +100 kg Divisions and is an Olympic hopeful for 2024. Christian is not your average 16 year old! Everyday he wakes up at 4:00 AM and completes a grueling 2 hour workout to get him one step closer to his Olympic dream. He is an A/B student that diligently balances his academics with his Judo training, and is an assistant Jr. Instructor for the kids class at his Judo Club. At this time Junior World Team Member are completely self funded and responsible for their travel arrangements. Christian is seeking to raise $5,000 as soon as possible to cover all of his travel accommodations, which include airfare, hotel, travel documents and associated fees. This is a wonderful opportunity to help a wonderful person and potential Olympian take the next step in his Olympic Journey and dream of representing the United States.
