First and foremost, the Tolbert children would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and support. Christian fought valiantly this past week, and people from all over fought with him in prayer. Christian Tolbert was 23 when he went home on October 12 at 5:25 pm. A young man in the prime of his life who was happy, loving, kind, and full of promise and potential. At that age, you are preparing for life, not death. Christians last wishes were to be an organ donor. Christian made a heroic decision to donation his organs and was able to help 5 people through their life journey with his donations. As such, there is not insurance or finances to help cover costs. Dad and mom (Joey and Donna Tolbert) are preparing to bring him home over 1000 miles to lay him to rest here in Navarre. Though the expenses are great, having Christian home for a proper funeral, and giving his family and loved ones a chance to say goodbye is what truly matters to them. So many have asked how they can help. The Tolbert children thought we could use this avenue to help them, and to give those looking for a way to support them a means to contribute. We have felt your prayers, and we are so grateful to have such loving and steadfast support. Donations will also be accepted at Lewis funeral home website through E-pay or the donations tab on Christians obituary. You can also donate for flowers, travel expenses, and gift cards for food through Venmo @Lena-Tolbert-1 and please indicate what you would like your donations to go toward.
Thank you from the Tolbert family.
