Hello everyone, this is Lindsay Pinna reaching out for help in a time of unthinkable grief and loss.

Words cannot express the shock and overwhelming feelings of uncertainty and sadness that are swirling about me.

Some of you may know, and some may be hearing about this for the first time, but my sweet husband, Christian Pinna, my husband of two years and father of our two daughters, tragically lost his life Saturday, October 28, at the young age of 29.

We are doing our best in the midst of our loss to treasure the time we had together with our two beautiful little girls. Christian was one of the wittiest, funniest people I knew, and he loved me and our daughters and wanted more than anything to be the best father and husband he could be. He was a goofy, football fan, fun-loving, brave, intelligent, and sweet man, and we will always love him. As we grieve, we will do our best to think fondly of the wonderful times we and all his loved-ones, friends and family alike, shared with him throughout his years. But we will miss him so much that it hurts to even write these words.

My family and I, his sweet grandmother, and the large community around him, both in Louisiana and Brooklyn, NY, where he was born and raised, miss him terribly. It is a difficult pain to bear, but we press on in faith, believing that the Lord Jesus has granted Christian a peace that surpasses all understanding.

As I am sure you know, surrounding this devastating circumstance are practical difficulties of which we will need a lot of help with.

This GoFundMe is being shared in hopes of affording a sweet and loving memorial service for my husband, as well as trying to obtain some extra funds for the girls and I as we navigate this difficult period in our lives. Money was tight before and our bills will be many. So many have asked if there’s somewhere they can give, but we have provided the way through this website.

I also would like to extend a giant thank you for all of the support and prayers during this emotional time, both from people we know and love dearly to those we don’t really know, but feel so incredibly loved by. Anything is greatly appreciated. Whether or not you can give to help with these needs, please share this with anyone you know who might be able to help us.
