Hi my name is Amelia and am a student at University of Nottingham. I am a Christian and have been gifted the opportunity to go on mission to Moyobamba, Peru over summer to help out a local church there. The volunteer work includes constructing a space for the youth of the church there, running outreach youth club and help out with medical outreach.

The mission is run by a charitable organisation called Latin Link through their STEP programme. It has been running since 1991 in partnership with churches sending and receiving volunteers in Latin America.

The money needed will be put towards materials and resources for the church, accommodation and flights. I know this is a lot of money and if you can't afford to donate prayers for this journey and the church that we'll be working with will also be happily received and appreciated.

To help raise money I am running, rowing and cycling (in my uni gym) the length between Lima to Moyobamba, working out to be 1072 km. This will be documented on @mates_on_mission on Instagram as one of my friends will be doing the same journey with me.
