Christian Lemon cancer progression
Donation protected
February of 2023 I was suffering from diffuse back pain, after a MRI and biopsy they found multiple sites of lymphadenopathy.
I received six cycles of RCHOP, with partial
response, but his disease has progressed, and I require CAR-T cell therapy to achieve durable remission. After a collection mononuclear cells on March 14, 2024. I will receive one additional cycle of chemotherapy while the cells are being manufactured. Once the cells are ready (appx 4/1/2024,) I will receive lymphodepleting chemotherapy (Fludarabine and Cyclophosphamide) outpatient, and will be admitted to Emory University Hospital transplant floor on April
8, 2024 for cell infusion on April 9, 2024.
My hospitalization is expected to last approximately two weeks or Longer if I encounter any complications. I will not be able to work for at least four weeks after his cell infusion (until appx May 7, 2024) due to risk of infection and immunosuppression and will not be able to drive or operate heavy machinery until at least June 4, 2024.
In long story short my cancer has progressed and now I need a cell transplant to help get me to remission. Mean while I am no longer working and fighting with social security for my disability.
