Help the Michels' Pay Christen's Medical Bills

Hi, my name is McKenna and my coworkers and I wanted to help fundraise for our wonderful coworker, Jeremy and his wife, Christen.

With what is usually an amazing and joyous time for mother, father and little brother anxiously waiting for a new addition to their family. Nothing could be more accurate for Christen, Jeremy, and 2-year-old Jameson. Unfortunately, a complicated pregnancy is overshadowing and robbing the Michels family of the joy of this memorable event.

Both parents started new jobs in 2022 with excitement for the future, but Christen has been experiencing severe illness. Christen’s sickness, weakness, and weight loss of almost 40 pounds were finally explained with a diagnosis of Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Months later, her symptoms have not subsided and have continued to make her very ill throughout her pregnancy. Not only has Christen not been able to work, but this has resulted in weekly trips to the doctor, over 15 visits to the hospital, many multiple-day/overnight hospital stays, lots of ambulance rides, and Christen requiring in-home nurse care. The emotional and financial burden is growing to an unbearable degree for the Michels family.

As most of you know, the Michels have always been a family that helps others whenever possible. Though now, in times of need, they are now the ones asking for help. We are just wanting Christen and the baby to be healthy and safe, as well as Jeremy and big brother Jameson. Doctors are saying the baby is healthy and strong, shocking to everyone involved, including the doctors.

We, as friends, family and coworkers, want to be able to try to help this wonderful and growing family during this trying and uncertain time in their lives. Any money donated will be going towards helping to pay for the ongoing hospital bills. Helping them out financially would ease the stress of this challenging time on their family. We know times are tough, but anything will help this wonderful family.
