Helping Christa defeat Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Donation protected

Dear friends and family. As many of you know my sister, Christa Hansen has been fighting

Acute myeloid leukemia (aggressive cancer of blood and bone marrow) since around May 13th. She went to the hospital with a “sore throat” and received the diagnosis. After 1 month in the hospital and 1 round of chemo we are very happy to announce the cancer has dropped to very low levels. This is amazing!!!!! However, she still needs small sessions of chemo until she can receive a bone marrow transplant. She has medical coverage through a co-op (doesn’t cover prescriptions) and while most of her medical expenses should be covered, she will be unable to work for 18-24 months. With rent and bills coming every month without a paycheck we are asking for some help to alleviate this financial burden.

Christa has been positive and brave the whole process, but she still has a ways to go. Thank you for all your prayers and support thus far!!

Check back here for updates.

Please share this with family and friends❤️

**Update**

Christa just completed 3 days of consolidation chemo.  They believe her leukemia had mutated into a different a strain which was giving them unusual information. Because of this the consolidation chemo was a double dose.

The bone marrow transplant will happen in 4-6 months.  Until the transplant occurs she will receive consolidation chemo every 28 days.

Thank you for all the love and support!

It really means a lot!!!
