Update: As we remember Christa, we were able to provide two scholarships for Lemon Bay High School students this year with proceeds from this fundraiser. Thank you! Christa’s parents were able to come and present the scholarships at Senior Awards Night.

We would love to be able to provide a memorial scholarship or two again this coming year, and perhaps in the years following. This is a beautiful way to remember Christa and do meaningful work in her name. Thank you.

Our lovable and dear friend, Christa Cokkinias deserves to be celebrated. After many years and rounds of treatment for brain cancer, she has been given 4-6 months.

If you know Christa and her family, you know that they have been an integral part of our Englewood family. We share so many wonderful memories together! Christa is a bright star to all who know her. Can’t say a bad word about her! In fact, she has been an incredible friend. Talented, beautiful and intelligent, we hate that she has been suffering and are praying for a miracle.

Enter Jenny Townsend Buda with this awesome idea to make sure Christa sees Christmas, even if it comes early. Thank you, Jenny! I am happy to assist with this plan. She has also been working with Christie Barschow-Owens to spread the word. Thank you, Christie!

Please note this is a SURPRISE for Christa, so please don't mention to her as of yet!

The goal here is to raise funds to purchase restaurant and grocery gift cards for Christa and her family and perhaps a few early Christmas gifts. We will additionally provide a delicious catered Christmas dinner for Christa and her family.

We may also donate some of the money to her parents for additional expenses they may have. We need your support to make this happen. Please donate what you can.
