Chrissy & Devyn Nelson Fundraiser

Welcome to the fund raiser for Chrissy and Devyn Nelson to help pay for out of pocket medical and end of life expenses.  Chrissy became Devyn’s adopted mother 3 years ago when he was 5.   Devyn is a brave little boy who, although medically fragile, has fought through repeated adversity in his life.  

Devyn was born with gestational meningitis, resulting in lesions on his brain and spinal cord.  As he’s grown, seizures, inoperable scoliosis, brittle bones, full time respiratory support, digestive problems, kidney and bladder stones put him at great risk.  Recently, the doctors at the Pediatric ICU, let Chrissy know there isn’t anything more they can do for him.  Devyn is home now, his level of care has increased to control his pain and keep him comfy and loved.

Devyn brings so much goodness into the world and those of us who know Chrissy and Devyn, understand she has given him a life he would not have had inside of an intensive care unit.   Frequent hospitalizations, increasing out-of-pocket medical costs and nursing shortages have prevented Chrissy from working outside of the home.  The avalanche of medical debt and impending end of life planning has become overwhelming.   Thank you for anything you can do to help.
