The unexpected costs of Chris' Suicide
Donation protected
Christopher Chin was a loving husband, father and son. On May 11, 2019, for reasons we will never know or understand, Chris took his own life. We are devastated.
Chris was only 57 years old and we will always remember him for how he lived, not how he died.
Chris had a wonderful sense of humor. He was quick with a laugh, and never shied away from using himself as a prop. From putting on silly hats, dressing in festive clothing to doing impressions, he could make anyone laugh. He loved to do impressions of Scooby Doo, politicians, animals and anyone who was current in the news.
Chris was a DC sports fan. He loved the Nationals, Capitals, and Redskins. He enjoyed treating his kids to live games. His stepson was 30 when he went to his first live Nationals game, and Chris was the person who took him.
Chris met the love of his life a mere 5 years ago. They married in February of 2017. Anyone who met Lori and Chris, instantly knew they were still in the honeymoon stage of their relationship. Holding hands, going to the movies (Chris loved superheroes), shopping, weekend trips, family events… whatever and wherever they were always together.
In the last two months of Chris’ life, he had lost his job and was struggling to find employment. With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. With no life insurance, and limited financial resources, we are asking for help with burial costs and his and her financial obligations.
It is in these times of loss and sadness when you see people coming together to help one another make it through, to support the people we care for. We are thankful for any support you may be able to provide.
