Chris Stiles, co-owner of Rods and Roadsters, and all around great guy, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away in his sleep, on his birthday, on January 30th. To those of us that knew him, he was a an instant friend - he never met a stranger! He was kindhearted and always wanting to help out with anything. He would always stop to give money to any homeless person he encountered. He was an avid dog lover - his beloved Deuce, a Rottweiler he found abandoned, covered in ticks, sick with heartworms, and many other health problems - became his pampered and healthy "garage dog" - warmly greeting everyone who came by the shop.
Chris had a passion for classic cars, expertly restoring vintage and antique MGs, Triumphs, Jaguars, Porches, BMWs, and others, with his father Jim at the shop they owned together. He was a member of the British Car Club of Memphis with whom he attended many meetings and charity events.
Chris was involved in a terrible car accident in May 2016. He suffered severe head, brain, and chest trauma. He spent weeks in the hospital in Memphis. When he was eventually discharged, he left with thousands of dollars in medical bills that he could not afford to pay.
This GoFundMe account has been set up to help Chris's parents pay off the medical bills and his final expenses.
