Hi!

My name is Chris Meier. I'm a right leg below knee amputee going on 5 years post amputation living a good life in NYC woohoo!

Now for the not so good part. I'm on here looking for help getting a new prosthetic leg. My insurance company has given me trouble for the past year by not approving my request for a new leg. Now after a lengthy appeal process and getting approval all the costs are more than I can afford.

I have made such progress over the last 2 years that my current prosthetic is limiting me in my quest to live a normal active life.  In order to take the next step in my rehabilitation process, this new leg is key. 

I want to achieve simple goals such as: running to catch the subway, biking to central park, being able to walk more than a couple avenues without getting sore and eventually running an Iron Man triathlon (that one's not as simple).
