Chrissie needs our help!
Our family is heartbroken. My beautiful, fun-loving, kind-hearted and energetic cousin Chrissie and her boyfriend Nate were in a head-on collision on January 27. They were on their way from Eureka Springs to Little Rock, Arkansas, when a driver coming from the opposite direction lost control of their van, went over the divider, and hit them head-on. There was no time to react. Their injuries are devastating. Chrissie and Nate were both taken by ambulance to a regional medical center and then airlifted to a trauma center in Missouri. Chrissie has endured 2 lengthy surgeries and spent many days in the intensive care unit. She has massive injuries to her abdomen and intestines, and the pain has been horrific. According to her surgeon, she faces lifelong challenges and will likely need additional surgeries. Her recovery time will be long and arduous.
While we can’t take her pain away, we can take away some of the financial burden. We want to ensure she will have the resources she needs to get through the incredibly difficult, painful, and expensive recovery she is facing. Please help us.
Some background on Chrissie:
Chrissie is an artist and designer who has spent the last several years getting a degree in art and honing her skills working as a freelancer. She was thrilled when she was hired as marketing director for a well-known art school this fall. We’re hoping her art will offer her an escape as she recovers.
