Chris’s tattoo apprenticeship funding

Hi my name is Chris MacPhee,

I am starting this Go Fund me page to help me raise money for my apprenticeship and monthly bills during the time of my apprenticeship, And supplies. There is really no schooling or funding for a tattoo apprentice as you need to find an artist to teach you what they know and take you under their wing. Hence why I’m reaching out.

The apprenticeship is 1000$ out of pocket and my monthly bills are about 600$. Then I also need to always have supplies while learning to tattoo.

It’s been a huge goal in my life since I was child to become a tattoo artist and I finally got an apprenticeship after all these years.

It’s a 1 year + apprenticeship here in Halifax. I started the first week in January of this year. my main drive is to focus on my apprenticeship., I can work part time at the hospital as I’m still employed there but there’s not much time between overlooking my mentor at the shop 4-5 days a week as well as the work I have to do at home for the apprenticeship. Studying , drawing , tattooing fake skin, etc.

I’m not one to ask for help or money usually as I’m a very hard worker but it’s alot when there’s really no government funding etc. I’m the money I raise will be put towards my cost of apprenticship, transportation to and from the shop, tattoo supplies ,and my monthly bills as the cost of living these days it’s outrageous.

Anything helps to be honest and I’m sure at some point I’ll be seeing the people that donate to my go fund me weather it’s in the shop or out and about. Thanks for reading and possibly donating. I appreciate you all more than you know. Wish me luck and maybe someday I’ll tattoo my donators:)
