Chris's recovery following a donor transplant

Hi my name is Shawn and I am fundraising to help my brother Chris who is undergoing transplant surgery in order to receive a new kidney and pancreas.

Chris has had type 1 Diabetes since the age of 18. Which he has struggled with everyday. In April of 2022 Chris went into Renal failure and has been on Dialysis ever since. He has also been awaiting a transplant and has finally made it to the top of the transplant list. Chris has been unable to work due to his dialysis treatment and poor health. This transplant will be life changing for him. Unfortunately the first year after his transplant he will be under close watch to ensure his transplant is successful. This includes taking medications that will total more than $4000 a month. This is a large amount for him to cover not being able to work. And he already has his health to focus on, and shouldn't need to worry about these medications from month to month, along with fuel and parking to attend numerous appointments.

Any funds raised will directly go towards Chris's medical care. And would be greatly appreciated by our family.
