Hi friends,

About 6 weeks ago my health began to decline rapidly, first in my ability to exercise, and then 2 weeks ago very seriously with fever, night sweats, weight loss and swollen lymph nodes. All of this happening in our home in Thailand with just weeks to go before the end of the school year and our planned furlough for the summer.

I've been on a journey to get a diagnosis, doing all sorts of testing and diagnostics. God has been carrying me through this one day, and he has proven himself time and time again. He is FAITHFUL - I have nothing to fear. God is with me through this valley.

I am now in the USA, and am starting the process to begin chemo treatment for an aggressive form of follicular lymphoma 3B.

Honestly, I have hesitated in creating this gofundme - I don't want any focus to be on the money. Yes, there are going to be some big expenses coming up soon. I know God will provide for me and my family. I want Him to get all the glory!

More and more people are asking how they can help with medical expenses. This is the easiest and most transparent way to set up and collect money to be used to pay for our anticipated medical expenses that I know at this time. This is just an estimate based on our Aetna insurance deductible and out-of-pocket maximums.

At this time, this gofundme intends to provide a way to help with medical expenses. We will have other expenses related to our transition, but those are less clear at this time and I cannot begin to estimate an amount for that. If we get more clarity, we may set up something separate for our transition to the USA. It's hard because we do not know how long we will be in the USA - 6 months? A year? Longer? This is in the Lord's hands - and I trust him completely.
