Chris's heart and kidney transplant.

Hi my name is Tracie and I am the step daughter of Mr. Chris Coots. Most of his life he has been in heart failure. He is the most giving, fun loving friend, that I know. Unfortunately he has progressively gotten worse over the past 3 years and he has to have both a heart and kidney transplant at the same time, this is the only way to save his life. He and my mom make multiple trips to Jacksonville, FL to the Mayo Clinic a month and they are both on a fixed income, this is a 5 hr drive. He received the phone call today (9-1-2023) that he has to report to the Mayo clinic Tuesday (9-5-2023). This is very good news for him, he will stay there until he receives the heart and kidney transplant. He has to have 1 caretaker present and after the transplant he and my mom will have to stay in Jacksonville for 3 additional months. Financially this will be impossible. Chris (I lovingly call him Mr. Coots) life has changed so much the past few years, he needs your help. This fundraiser will help pay for the 3 months they have to stay before and after the transplants also the travel expenses and lodging, food, gas, and the expenses at home, because after the transplant he can only stay at the hospital for 14 to 21 days. He will also have medical expenses, medicine that's not covered under his insurance,food, gas, and still pay the bills at home.
