Chris's Fight with Leukemia
Donation protected
My name is Jason Garcia and I am writing this on behalf of Christopher McGrane.
Back in November, Chris visited the ER in Santa Maria after not feeling well for months. Upon running some test they found his white blood cell count to be over 600,000 WBCs per microliter. The normal range for white blood cells is between 4,500 to 11,000 WBCs per microliter. This alarming number prompted an emergency airlift to Stanford Cancer Center that same evening. During his stay at Stanford they performed numerous tests and procedures, which ultimately yielded in a positive diagnosis for Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). Chris was released from the hospital after a week-long stay. He is currently back home in Santa Maria, stable, and doing better after starting on medication to treat the leukemia.
Although he is thankfully feeling better, he is still very weak and gets fatigued very quickly. As many of you know, Chris is self-employed through his company Evil 1 Kustoms and is currently unable to perform any tasks at work. I’d like us all to come together to help support our friend in his time of need. All funds raised will go to Chris and help assist him with any bills not covered by insurance and relieve him of any financial burden while he is going through his oral chemotherapy treatment.
Chris is a Marine Corps veteran who served 10 years in the Marine Corps and continues to serve with the local Band of Brothers Echo Group Veteran Nonprofit organization that supports veterans in crisis. Chris is now one of those veterans in crisis and needs our support.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration of donating to this stand-up guy in his time of need. If you would prefer to donate through Venmo, a link is provided below.
