Chris's fight against Liver cancer

Hello all! My name is Briana Carey, and I am creating this fundraiser for my father-in-law, Chris Johnson.

Chris is 56 years old and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver cancer two months ago. After quite the struggle with loss of appetite, extreme back pain, and much discomfort Chris was seen by his primary doctor, where they found his liver enzymes were way off.

After weeks of numerous tests and imaging, Chris was seen at the Cancer Centers of America in Illinois, where he was finally diagnosed.

His treatments will be every other week in Chicago, a 6-hour drive away from his home. I hope that by starting this fundraiser, we can raise money for travel expenses, medical bills, food, and boarding. Due to his diagnosis, Chris is unable to work and is not receiving any help financially as of this time. His wife Tracy has been working as much overtime as she is able.

Chris is not only a wonderful husband to his wife Tracy and dad to his son Alex, but an equally amazing Papa, son, brother, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend to so many! For those of us lucky enough to know Chris, we can say that he is kind, genuine, happy, fun-loving, and hard worker.
