Late last night while coming home from a race, the rack which both of my bikes were mounted to snapped and fell off onto the westbound 10 freeway HOV lane. They are both completely destroyed and and without so much as a salvageable part. I've been putting all of myself into racing bikes now for this entire season and I now no longer have a bicycle. I wish this didn't feel so dramatic but I'm heartbroken. I'm not sure how I'm going to replace even one of these bikes. I don't own a car and I commute everyday via bicycle. In the blink of an eye my life just got really inconvenient. I lost years of sentiment and several thousand dollars worth of equipment by which I train and escape into my happy place. I have no idea what my next move is but I may need some help.
