Chris Roell TBI Foundation Fund

We originally started this Fund for our Christopher and my Mom often use to say how she could see him in her apartment.

Like her grandson her head injury led to her passing and will truly missed by many family and friends. She is now reunited with the ones she love and will be happy to see your donations going to an excellent cause.

Our precious son Christopher Roell passed away on February 17, 2018 from complications of a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).  His story began 6 years ago, while attending the University of Santa Barbara where he had  a Division I soccer scholarship.  As great of an opportunity as that was, Christopher's life took a different path...

Christopher suffered TBI accident after falling off a 40 foot cliff. At the time, there were 20 known incidences similar to his. Out of the 20 known incidences, there were only 2 survivors - Christopher being one of them. Doctors described how miraculous his recovery was because he gained all physical ability back and we thought he would go on to be fine mentally. Unfortunately for Christopher this was not the case and often true for many TBI patients.

Over time, Christopher showed signs of mental health issues and we desperately tried to get him help with various medications and different doctors over the years.  It turns out that getting help for this terrible disease is not easy, and,  convincing our son he needed help was also difficult.  It's not easily diagnosed, especially when the person with the TBI usually thinks nothing is wrong.  Anyone that's had a family member or friend who has been through this difficult time knows how difficult, and trying these times can be both for the patient and the family.

With 100% OF THIS FUND we want to create awareness, educate and help others who can't find the resources they need to get help.  We want to work with TBI Institutes to help diagnose and more importantly find a treatment that helps patient recover more quickly.

Christopher touched many people in his short life of 24 years.  The outpouring of love and prayers from his initial injury was incredible and helped his miraculous recovery.  God called Christopher home and the voices he called Angels needed him.   He is no longer with us but we know his memory will live on forever.  Please help us help others who have families and friends with mental health issues.

Thank you in advance for your support we know Christopher is at Peace and watching over us all!
