Help get Chris Phair Stronger!
In the last few months Chris Phair began feeling discomfort in his throat. Throughout the summer and into the fall, Chris and his wife Dianne made many treks to doctor in a quest for answers. More recently, as the pain increased, the passage way in his throat become narrower, making it difficult for Chris to swallow and to easily consume calories. After many frustrating weeks, the results of a biopsy identified that Chris has cancer in his esophagus. While many would be disheartened by the news, Chris and his family are happy to finally have an answer and are ready for the fight. Chris is in the care of a medical team at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, and will be there temporarily while he gets stronger and prepares for treatment.
As many of you already know, this fight presents challenges on many fronts, not just physically and mentally but also financially. All of Chris’s family and friends know he’ll never ask for a helping hand. But in times like these, it’s important we help ease the burden the family will face while Chris takes a leave of absence from work, and focuses on getting stronger. We know that Chris is someone we can always count on when we are in need. No matter what the problem, or how big the project, Chris’s generosity, skills, wisdom and support have touched us all at some point. It’s now time for all of us to be there to support him. His family and friends have created this GoFundMe account to help alleviate the family’s needs until Chris is back at full strength. Along with the family’s faith, the love and support of Dianne and his two children Carly and Christopher, Chris will get stronger and beat this illness.
