"Christopher Nelson Memorial Garden" at Soul's Harbor.
Hello friends/members. Most of you have by now heard the terrible news about the loss of our friend Chris. He left behind mom, dad, 2 sisters (Angie and Amanda) and a little brother (Andrew). This is as much for them as it is for the men at Soul's Harbor who are doing great things to better their lives. Also this will keep Chris' memory alive and give people a place to go and visit with Chris.
Soul's Harbor has given us a plot of land to plant a fruit tree and we will also make a plaque with your donations to be with the tree. The garden is about an acre and will feed the men at Soul's Harbor and also be a source of revenue for them. They will set up a veggie stand on their property and use the money for funding their program.
My goal is to fund the entire garden for this year. With your help that is a goal I think we can reach together.
Connie (Chris' mother) told me in a recent conversation with Chris he mentioned that he wanted to volunteer at some mens homeless shelters in Seattle, so we think this would be a project that Chris would love to be part of. 100% of your donations will go directly to this project. When we reach our goal I will go on a shopping spree with the kind ladies at Soul's Harbor and buy everything they need to succeed this year.
Please help in any way that you can. Thank you in advance!
