Chris Lewis's Medical Fund

Chris Lewis is a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a friend, and much much more. Coming out of his senior year of college at Southern Connecticut State University he had plans to start working at Yale on the Neuro ICU floor. Unfortunately a week before his nursing pining ceremony he came to reckon with a bacterial infection that resulted in the need for a new liver.

Chris was born with a defect in his liver, which caused him to need a liver transplant at a young age. His mother was able to donate a part of her liver to him but he still missed over a year of school, spent months in the hospital and needed to go through therapy. Luckily he was able to make a full recovery.

However this past May, he suddenly was readmitted to the hospital only to find out that he had a bacterial infection. For the past month he has been fighting that infection, going through numerous tests and procedures. He was unable to attend both his Nursing Pinning Ceremony as well as his graduation from Southern but, in true nursing fashion, our dear friend's main concern is everyone else.

As Chris continues his hospital he continues to fight off the bacterial infection. He will not be able to be put on the liver transplant list until the infection is clear. Hopefully then, he will be able to get home and wait until a liver becomes available. By starting this Go Fund Me page, it is our wish to give back to one of the most caring and strong people we know in hopes of easing the medical expenses accrued during his stay.
