In November 2016 we received news that changed our view on life forever and has turned our world upside down.
Chris (or Sambo as many of his mates will know him) was given the diagnosis of the dreaded "C" word....something that he has always secretly worried would find him....found him! Cancer!!! Stage 3 Bowel Cancer.
Since then, Dad has been using all of what he has left to kick cancers butt!
Through test after test, doctor after specialist, chemotherapy, radiation, pain, medication, stress and the emotional rollercoaster, our dad has remained strong and dedicated to fighting this dreaded beast. Often, through worry and waves of emotions, he can't eat or sleep but still continues to be there for his family, love his family and friends and use his passion for life to get through. Yet he smiles and continues to crack his insidious jokes that we feel compelled to laugh at.
Chris and his wife, Maz, have tried to do this on their own but cannot cope any longer, the tears are too frequent, the stress is too heavy a burden and too many financial questions are left unanswered.
