The world has lost a deep thinking educator, writer, father, and explorer of the world. Chris Evola was a teacher who taught via love of his subject matter, physics..
Chris taught in Texas in his early career, but spent his longest stint at St. John's Episcopal School in Guam. During that time he inspired generations of students who have gone on to bigger things from that island paradise.
He eventually became an international teacher, first in Cambodia and then in Turkey, after which he retired in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
He was involved in many creative academic projects beyond the scope of the normal teacher's arena. He worked on video projects which enhanced the school's stature in the community as well as doing research on the disease lytico-bodig.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Sharilynn, and son Tommy. They currently reside on Guam.
The Men's Club will remember you always. "Long live the navigators...and those who have gone before"
