Chris/CS/Nult/Nutly is turning 50!

Of all the people you know, I’m sure Chris/Nult/CS/Nutly/ Christopher probably rides his bike just about more than anyone you might know. In fact, after all these years, he may actually be some sort of human/bike hybrid. In life, the thing that makes him happiest in life – other than spending time with his family or friends – is riding one of his bikes…Team Wedgie!, Seattle to Portland (STP) multiple times, RSVP (Seattle to Vancouver), Ride 542 (ride to the summit of Mt. Baker and back), Seward Park Thursday night criteriums, weekend cyclo-cross races with both the MFG AND the Cross Revolution series (because one is not nearly enough), riding from Seattle to Cannon Beach, Oregon OR back at least three times, daily commutes to and from work (even in the snow in Juneau, AK), and gravel rides in Leavenworth and Eprhata to name just a few. He even CHOSE to ride 60 miles uphill on gravel in 80+ degree degree heat this past June for Father’s Day. This man has done more to reduce his carbon footprint than anyone I know!
I gave him his first “real” bike – a CANNONDALE mountain bike - as an undergrad graduation gift 26 years ago, and he has meticulously maintained it and STILL rides it (Vintage!). His second bike is a TREK road bike that his family and I chipped in together to buy him for his 40th birthday – now 10 years old. His third bike Is a MOTOBECANE cross bike that is probably 7-8 years old and that he rides just to mix things up. This wonderful human NEEDS a new bike, but absolutely refuses to buy one for himself. To help Bike MAN celebrate this milestone birthday and age into the second-half century of his life with happiness, please consider donating to his birthday bike fund in lieu of a present.
Of his three mainstay ancient bikes, he has only chosen and purchased one himself. My goal is to present him this pool of money at his birthday party and allow him to pick out a bike HE wants. Will he buy a factory bike or a custom-made bike? Will he buy a mountain bike, a cross bike, or a road bike? The choice is his!
If you have any favorite pictures of BIKE MAN with a bike, please email them to me. I hoping to compile some of them for his party.
