Rugby player gets kidney transplantChris Courtney has played rugby since the 1990s. In 1999 he went overseas with a touring team (The Gentlemen of Dixie)to watch the World Cup in Wales. His team played in games in Ireland, Wales and England. His playing came to abrupt end in 2002 when he developed a hereditary kidney disease known as Polycystic Kidneys. So in 2005 after missing the game of Rugby he did what all Ruggers do..he started coaching! In 2012 he started Dialysis treatments 3 days a week for 5 hours each day. But he still coached! His team is the Greenville Griffins from Greenville SC a Mens Rugby Club team and he currently is an assistant coach.
Chris received a call March 29,2017 to come to MUSC for a kidney transplant.. He received a healthy kidney and is doing fine.
The anti rejection meds cost $3900 a month. He must take these for the rest of his life.
Please help Chris raise money to pay for these life saving drugs.
Chris is facing another major surgery in a few months to remove the 2 bad kidneys in his body that are the size of Rugby balls and weigh 10 lbs each!
The rugby brotherhoods around the United States and  the world could do wonders for this brother.

Please consider donating funds so Chris can keep his new kidney and continue  doing what he loves: Rugby!
