Chris' battle with pancreatic cancer

In June 2018 our boss' husband was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Chris had been training to cycle 130 miles but continued to be tired which was not normal for him, it ended up being that he had blood clots in his lung and legs. Doctors were exploring the cause of the clots and found spots on his liver. After having scans and looking into the cause of liver tumors they found the pancreatic cancer. It was decided to get him started on a newer chemo that had a longer survival rate if the treatment worked. When he reached the 3 month mark on chemo the doctors did follow up scans to see if the tumors were shrinking. They found that even though the tumors on his pancreas had either shrunk or at least not gotten any bigger the tumors on his liver were not responding to this chemo so he was switched to a more aggressive chemo that he would now receive once a week.
During all of this time our boss Jessica Shelley, who is a local Chiropractor, has not only been trying to take care of her terminally ill husband and her two teenage sons, but she is also trying to continue to run her practice (which if she's not here to treat the patients then there is no business income) She has been able to hire a couple of sub doctors to come in and help treat the patients but it can be very pricey having a substitute doctor cover and on top of that many of the patients are only comfortable seeing Dr. Shelley. We all know how expensive medical bills are with deductibles, copays, and out of pocket patient portions. We hope to help them and maybe ease some of this financial burden. We will continue to pray for the Shelley family during this tough time and appreciate your prayers too! Please pass this along to those you know who can help financially and/or prayerfully!
