Chris Williamson's cancer treatment costs

Donation protected
We are fundraising for Chris Williamson and his family as he endures his second treatment for a very rare Synovial Sarcoma.

Chris was first diagnosed with cancer in his elbow in 2021 and underwent painful radiotherapy, travelling weekly from Kent to London on the train and tube before having surgery at UCLH and Stanmore hospitals at the start of 2022. The 10 inch tumour meant he was at risk of losing his arm, which, as a mechanic would have ended his career, but during the surgery, the team were able to remove the tumour and save his arm.

Unfortunately at the start of 2023 (Chris started to experience severe back pain which left him unable to move without causing a spasm. He was called back urgently for an MRI, Xray and Ultrasound. They showed that the cancer had spread to his back and spine and an urgent new treatment plan was put in place with radiotherapy starting at the end of March 2023.

Travelling on the train is now almost impossible, and Chris needs to use hospital transport to get him to his appointments.

Your support will help Chris whilst he is in hospital and help with his expenses. Chris will be able to book accommodation next to the treatment site to avoid travelling on hospital transport every day. It will also support Sam and the boys (the youngest of whom has only just started secondary school).
