It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Chris Whitfield on August 2nd at the age of 42. Chris was a loving father, son, brother, and friend, and his loss has deeply affected all who knew him. He was the life of the party, always bringing joy to those around him, whether he was the only one on the dance floor or taking on daring adventures with enthusiasm.

Chris leaves behind his three beautiful children, Mariah, Koby, and Bella, who are just as sweet, smart, and athletic as he was. The void he has left in their lives is immeasurable, and their hearts are shattered. We are asking for help to support this wonderful family with Chris's memorial, as well as to assist with the children's education and their continued excellence in lacrosse—a sport that was dear to Chris's heart. Bella, Chris's youngest daughter, has started her journey in lacrosse, and your support would help her pursue her dreams of being a part of Team BC lacrosse just like her big sister, Mariah.

The family will need as much support as they can get in the coming months. Chris was his children’s biggest supporter and their number one fan. He loved his family and friends deeply and would do anything for anyone, always willing to help no matter what.

We will be making arrangements for a celebration of life and will update everyone on that very soon. The family is deeply grateful for the kind messages and stories about Chris that they have been receiving. Hug your loved ones and hold them tight.
