Chris and Heidi are so appreciative of the support from friends, family, and the T Clay Wood Family. Unfortunately, Chris and his family continue to face serious health and mobility challenges, but they are navigating it all together with strength and faith. In May, Chris developed blood clots in his lung and leg and now relies on costly blood thinners. Heidi, his wife and primary support, is experiencing complications from a previous back fusion, making it difficult for her to lift and set up Chris’s foldable wheelchair. Their son Braden had stepped in to help with the physical demands, but he is now recovering from a back injury himself. Meanwhile, both children are facing dental work and physical therapy for their own injuries.

Despite the setbacks, this family continues to work together to support one another—but they need our help to keep going strong.

• Medical appointments (counseling, PT, dental)

• A down payment for a used wheelchair accessible van

The admin team and staff members of T. Clay Wood, the Nokesville Foundation and community members are raising funds for Chris White following his ALS diagnosis. Chris was a teacher for many years, most recently he taught PE at T. Clay Wood. Unfortunately, his teaching career was cut short by his diagnosis. These funds will be used for medical purposes, home accommodations, and for the White Family to travel and create long lasting memories. Chris contributed a lot to the school and the community in his 5 years at T Clay, and we would love to give back!
