On Thursday, December 17th 2020 the world lost Chris Weaver.  Chris was a loving husband and father of three, providing for his family so that his wife Tammie could devote herself fully to the nurture and education of their three children: Ben (24), Sam (22)  and Emery (17).  

Chris touched the lives of many around him--while known to some as a friend, some as a parishioner, some as a colleague, he was known by all for his kindness, desire to help and ability to converse on wide-ranging subjects.  His patience, tenacity and positivity inspired those around him and served as a deep well of strength for him and his family.

He cherished his children and would light up with joy and pride whenever he spoke of them--as he often did.  He was always there to support them in their endeavors.  Even during a battle with cancer that required many rounds of chemo to treat, Chris continued to be a positive force in their lives, spending as much time with them as possible despite feeling sick and being in pain during treatment.  Chris beat cancer five years ago--his positivity and faith unshaken and his resolve to be a great father and wonderful husband only redoubled.  Chris was a fighter…

One of the favorite family memories is of Chris battling at mini-golf with the boys.  The competition was fierce and no quarter was given.  It was no surprise that Chris won!

This past August Chris and his family were able to take a vacation.  Even though Covid restrictions prevented the vacation from going as planned, it ended up being one of their most enjoyable family vacations.  They spent time sitting in the hotel room playing games, watching movies, telling stories, laughing and just enjoying being truly present with one another.   

Chris was caring and loving by nature, always quick with a kind word or funny story.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  He spent his life building up those around him--most importantly his family.   Now it is our turn to help Chris...by helping his family.
