It has been a grueling four days since Chris’ surgery but we are on the right track. Had the 6cm tumor removed from his pelvis. The surgical procedure took seven hours, having only 30% remaining bone, cement and screws were used to rebuild the socket. Unfortunately the cancer had began to touch the top of his femor so that was also removed and replaced with metal femoral head. The total hip replacement was a surprise but definitely a necessity.
Chris fell on December 21st, 2018, breaking his pelvis rendering him unable to work, play with his daughter or do anything relating normalcy in his life was completely devastating. Finding this tumor in his pelvis was developing from the source of renal cancer was shocking, life altering information.
This pelvic rebuild surgery was the first step down a very long road, please pray for us to have the strength to get him back on his feet so we can fight the many battles to come in this war on cancer.
