On Saturday, March 28, 2020 tragedy struck the Tomlinson family. Chris Tomlinson, a father to 3 young children and husband to his beautiful wife, Katie, was rushed to the hospital in the early morning hours and passed away later that day.
Not only did we lose a dedicated and loving father, devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend but our community lost a valued member. Chris was the epitome of a family man. He spent his time volunteering on youth sport boards, coaching youth flag football and baseball teams as well as finding time to be a PTO volunteer. The other anchor to this greatly loved family, his wife Katie, is a teacher in a neighboring town, Girl Scout troop leader, PTO volunteer, CCD teacher, church volunteer and coach of her daughters youth soccer team. It is not uncommon to see her bring kids home in between hours on the soccer field to feed them lunch. Which provided other parents a much needed break. That is Katie, she too gives all of herself for her friends and community; a community that we hope will now be there for her.
Their family is devastated at the sudden loss of their husband and father. As the initial shock levels off, fears of the forever altered life ahead and worries of an uncertain financial future will weigh on already broken hearts.
We have all faced loss and tragedy. Katie and her children have a long road ahead of them. Please, if you can offer any financial support, we assure you it will be appreciated. As time goes on, lets all take solace knowing we have helped give this family one less burden to carry. All funds raised will go directly to Katie and her three children.
