Chris Stacy, square dance caller and instructor extraordinaire,  has had a sudden loss of vision due to his diabetes.    His vision is extremely limited and he is legally blind.   He is therefore unable to work, unable to drive, unable to read, unable to fill out forms for disability benefits and so on. We are helping him apply for Social Security benefits which could take as long as 6 months. This go fund me is to tide him over until his disability kicks in .  Since this happened at the end of May, he has had other medical challenges including a heart attack. Chris was a computer scientist and has been teaching dance for over 30 years.  He recently taught the beginners square dance lessons at the Locust Grove Square Dance Club. He is greatly loved and admired for his wit and clever teaching style. 

Just an update:  I just talked to Chris and he is so grateful and in good spirits.   He is being released from the hospital today.  THANK you all so very much.
