"A man's gift makes room for him. And brings him before great men." Prov 18:16
Earlier this year, Christopher Sherrod was nominated and auditioned for the High School Honors Performance Series and was accepted. Acceptance to this elite group of high school musicians is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in his application and audition recording. Chris is going to New York City this late-January/early-February for an amazing opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall with other selected Finalists! The High School Honors Performance Series brings together exceptional high school performers from around the world – this year’s Series includes students from 47 States, Guam, several provinces of Canada, Bermuda, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, Qatar, and South Korea! Their performance at world-famous Carnegie Hall marks the pinnacle of musical achievement.
Chris is a junior at South Central High School. A member of the National Honor Society, the Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and one of the musicians for the school Gospel Choir. He also a musician for Warren Chapel FWB Church as well as other churches and musical groups.
In order to take part in this opportunity, he needs to raise $3000. Please help Chris by donating to his trip. Any contribution you could make would bring him that much closer to this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
