Last week something wild happened. After a brief exchange with the head of New York University's Vocal Performance program, I was granted a unique (and fleeting!) opportunity to apply, even though the official deadline had long passed. 

And apply I did. Paperwork, self-tapes, essays, very little sleep. All within 48-hours. 

Now, I'm beyond excited to announce that a long-time dream of mine is coming true. I have been accepted into NYU Steinhardt's MM program in Vocal Performance in Musical Theatre with a dual certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. It all happened so fast that I still keep checking to see if the acceptance letter is real. 

My personal goal in attending this program is to become to best teacher I can possibly be. I have always said that I think kids are going to save the world. I am determined to become an arts educator that can help guide the next generation. 

I am starting this fundraising page to help secure as much as I can towards the tuition for my Fall semester this year.

I am already in the process of working with Financial Aid to line up scholarships and loans for the remaining semesters, but with the FAFSA deadline having passed months ago and the semester starting in two short weeks, options are limited for how I can secure funding for my first semester.

The state of the world right now is a fragile one and there are so many incredible organizations that need our support. I encourage you to donate to the causes that you are passionate about, and would never try to take attention away from those.
