If your reading this, you were a part of Chris' inner circle....which unlike most people, his inner circle was the size of North Carolina.
If your reading this, you meant something to Chris, and we are sure he meant something to you!
On Friday April 30th, we lost a great man here on earth, yet heaven now has an angel that I'm sure is the spotlight of entertainment. As we look back on the life of Chris, we all have a story. Some of those stories are funny, sad, weird or at times head turning, but we all have had at least a handful of each to tell.
Chris was beyond a friend to so many people that he came across, whether it was at his assignment for BrandSafway working at the Biogen Facility, local taco spot, co-workers, crew, and even the hostess at whatever place he was visiting, he made his presence known. Whenever you would go out to eat with Chris, once he talked to the hostess, we knew we were going to get great service. He made people around him feel comfortable and treated them like family, no matter where you went with him (until he told you that he forgot his wallet again) then you would have to pay.....but even still, nobody did that better than him!
This post could go on for days about the type of person Chris was to all of us. Although he was special to each of us in a different way, he was the same when it came to one word, and that was "FAMILY". Chris was like a family member to all of us and he treated us as such. NOBODY cared more for his co-workers, crew, and customers like Chris. His priority on his jobsite was everyone’s safety, and those that worked with him knew that they were looked after by Chris like he was a loving parent. With that being said, we need to look after Chris' family like he did us.
As most of us have been in a situation one time or another where life suddenly springs upon us so many challenges balled up into one package.....and usually it’s when we are not prepared, this is what has happened to his parents. Now is the time to spring upon Chris' family in a manner that he wouldn't hesitate to do the had this circumstance been different.
Spending time with Mom and Dad over the past couple days, I have seen the impact this has on his family and it has hit the family with a crushing blow.
We are Chris' family! Chris' Mom and Dad are now in a position that no parent should ever be in. As Chris' extended family, I am asking you all for your help. I am asking you all to take a step back, remember what Chris meant to you and help his family get through this time without having the thought of not being able to pay something. Most of us know the cost of burial, medical cost and bills that companies will still want to be paid. Let’s do our part for Chris and help Mom and Dad. Can the Rogerson family count on you? Anything will help and all money will go directly to his dad Dave Rogerson for any expenses associated with this event.
