Chris Prosser needs our help

Chris Prosser has spent a lifetime helping others. Now he needs our help.

After dedicating more than 30 years to caring for hundreds of clients, elite athletes, world champions, professional surfers and golfers on the WSL and PGA tours, Chris Prosser now faces the fight of his own life.

Chris has spent decades supporting others through injury, recovery, and performance at the highest level. Behind the scenes, however, he has quietly battled severe chronic illness and cancer for much of his adult life.

In 2005, Chris faced Stage 3C colon cancer and fought his way back through major bowel surgery, chemotherapy, and reconstructive surgery. The financial impact of prolonged treatment and time away from work exhausted the family’s savings and forced them to borrow against their home simply to survive

Against the odds, he rebuilt his health, returned to work, and continued dedicating his life to helping others — supporting athletes, families, and patients with relentless care and compassion.
But in late 2024, Chris was dealt another devastating blow. Cancer was discovered in the final remaining original section of his large bowel. Due to the tumour’s position and the complexity of previous surgeries, treatment options carried significant risk and potential complications.

Chris approached this battle the same way he has always approached life — with determination, discipline, and hope. Months of intensive conservative treatments including hyperbaric therapy, IV therapies, ozone, peptides, fasting protocols, repurposed medications, and herbal therapies initially showed encouraging results, with the tumour shrinking significantly by mid-2025. Tragically, those early successes did not continue, and by early 2026 surgery became unavoidable.

What was expected to be a one-week hospital stay following surgery on April 1 quickly became a fight for survival. Chris has since endured multiple severe complications including internal bleeding, emergency follow-up surgeries, procedures, and a fistula. Twice, his family were forced to prepare to say goodbye.
More than five weeks in hospital  with his weight dropping below 50kg Chris was allowed to return home. Unable to eat Chris is currently reliant on parenteral nutrition delivered through an IV directly into his heart as doctors work to stabilise his body and address severe malnutrition.
The battle is far from over. Chris still faces a long and difficult recovery involving further surgery, possible chemotherapy, specialist care, home nursing, medications, rehabilitation, and significant ongoing medical expenses.

Anyone who knows Chris knows he has always been the first person to show up for others — offering his knowledge, guidance, time, compassion, healing and unwavering support. Now, we are asking for help to support Chris and his family through the biggest fight of his life and the huge expense that comes along with it.

Yet throughout this deeply confronting journey, Chris has continued to meet life with extraordinary courage, humility, gratitude, and love.

This experience has brought his family closer together than ever before. In moments where life and death stood side by side, Chris and his loved ones have discovered profound connection, forgiveness, surrender, and appreciation for every moment shared. Through unimaginable vulnerability, Chris has found peace in the present and strength in the love surrounding him.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and help.

sincerely
The Prosser Family.
