Hi my name is Robin and our sweet son-in-law who captured our daughter’s heart about 12 years ago, Chris Penland is battling. Chris and Mariah have been married nearly 10 years and they have two beautiful children, Reagan (5) and Koe (2).

On Friday, March 10th Chris suffered a very severe seizure and became unresponsive and had to be lifeflighted to Hillcrest in Tulsa. Initial CT scans and labs all appeared clear and normal. With further time and testing Chris has been diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis. He remains sedated and on a ventilator.

We are believing that Our God is the Great Physician is providing a complete healing. Despite our faith, with the hospitalization comes with financial burdens of Mariah living out of a hospital, eating out and still providing for their two precious babies. We are thinking he is going to be hospitalized for a couple weeks at least.

We know that God has provided them with an amazing support system who have been praying continuously. There is many people praying everywhere.

Let me be the first to tell you that Mariah did not ask for a GoFundMe. She is aware of all expenses and income and needs great and small. Knowing the financial component of this journey is just a small part - there is the physical, spiritual and emotional component that are just as laborious. It was our goal to rally the troops so to speak to take one worry off of her plate. YOU are the "troops" You can take a great burden off of her shoulders - and allow her to be present both physically and mentally for her children and her husband during this time.

We looked at living expenses, medical expenses that will need to be met and the missed time from work for Mariah and the unknown time off for Chris and decided to start with a goal of $10000. We all know how fast these dollars go - and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts that your generosity will bring glory to God. God is so good to us through HIS people.
