Chris Ourtiague ALS Benefit

Donation protected
In October 2016, Chris Ourtiague was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Since then he has been fighting the brave fight, supported by his wife Áine.

Right now, Chris is using a motorized wheelchair and is having difficulty with daily tasks. Recent home modifications and additional care costs have been required in order for Chris to be comfortable and safe at home. Monies raised will help Chris and Áine with these costs and provide support to them.

Chris is a native San Franciscan who graduated from St. Gabriel School (1979) and Archbishop Riordan High School (1983). Chris worked as an aircraft mechanic at American Airlines for almost 30 years. He is a proud member of the San Francisco Basque Cultural Center. His wife, Áine, is originally from Newcastle, County Down, Ireland.

Chris and Áine are well-loved in both the Basque and Irish communities, as willing volunteers and active participants. Chris and Áine have always had their families’ and  friends’ support through this brave fight. It is now time to reach out to our community for additional support.

Thank you, in advance, for your support!
