Hello, my name is Ashley Nielsen, and it is with a heavy heart I reach out to our friends, family, and community for help following the sudden loss of my father, Chris Nielsen. I've created this fundraiser on behalf of my mother and his widow, Traci, and my sisters, Cambrie and Rylee. Our family was not prepared for such a devastating loss, or the high costs that follow. Truly, I have never experienced shock on a level such as this, but time waits for no one and arrangements must be made.

It is so easy to be overwhelmed by sadness. Those who knew my dad can testify to his desire and drive to help whoever he crossed paths with. He was always sharing stories and eager to know yours, passionate to watch you succeed at reaching your goals. My heart aches to know he will not be there to watch us succeed, to encourage us to pursue our passions. There is still so many more stories to make, and milestones to reach, and it won't be the same without him here to share them with.
