I have a very close friend named Chris S. She has a sweet horse named Toby that became extremely sick overnight. Toby is her heart horse. He was rushed to UGA Animal Hospital and has had numerous expensive tests, medications, and sometimes in isolation/ICU, which is unbelievably expensive. After two and a half weeks, Toby is on the road to recovery but his veterinarian is requiring him to have further supervised medical treatments at a rehabilitation center for two additional weeks. Some people would say just put him down, but how do you do that to an animal that shows that he wants to live and has been fighting to live. Being her heart horse, she chose the only way she could live with herself. I know that times are tough but pennies can add up so please help.
