Chris Needs Our Help because Covid Sucks!!

Hi, my name is Nancy. I'm creating this GoFundMe page for Chris Roberts, whom I've known for 15 years as part of my meditation network. He's a good friend and in real need right now.

Chris caught the Covid virus in February, and then his Covid symptoms got progressively worse fairly quickly. After suffering excruciating headaches and double vision, he went to the ER where he was immediately placed in ICU. Tests showed blood clots throughout his brain -- these are known as venous thromboses and pressure from these clots causes his pain and double vision. By seeking treatment as soon as he did, he probably avoided having a full-blown stroke.

He's been on blood thinners and strong pain meds ever since. Although it's been slow progress, the blood thinners are starting to do their job. However, Chris has to go from ICU to a regular hospital setting before finally getting released to ongoing home care. This condition requires very close medical supervision for at least 6 months!

At this point, Chris continues to suffer double vision -- you might have seen his makeshift pirate patch which helps him focus his vision?! He won't be able to drive for quite a while plus he will need to downgrade some of his natural physical exuberance so that he doesn't trigger bleeding in his brain. The clots are bad enough! And, he is going to need numerous kinds of rehabilitative care for several months before he can safely resume his normal activities. It's going to be a long, slow recovery. The hope is that he doesn't suffer any permanent cognitive damage -- except maybe the banjo lessons. He could lose those (jk)! His speech hasn't been affected but his recall of words is still challenging for him, and he is physically very weak.

Thankfully, Chris has some amount of medical insurance. What he does not have is a bank account with lots of zeros, and he won't be able to generate sustainable income for a while. The hard news for Chris is that, while he wants to charge right back into his life, his medical team is going to put the brakes on him. He's going to need our help covering his basic living expenses for the next several months so he can fully and completely recover. His fiance has to put her job on hold as well while she stays home and takes care of Chris.

This is my request for all of us pull together to help Chris get through these next several months! Everyone is staying hopeful, and the healings sent his way have already helped. He said he got better sleep after the first day of energy healing than he'd had since his Covid diagnosis -- which helped reduce his pain quotient.

He's being very patient and pragmatic but as a private business owner his income has disappeared and that is worrisome. Worry impedes his healing. We want him to focus on healing instead!
