Chris Muench's Road to Recover from Knee Surgery

In May this year, I suffered a knee injury during an armored tournament. I ended up suffering a torn ACL and a torn meniscus in my right knee, which is all going to require surgery to repair so that I can rejoin the field and the rink in the future. The surgery is scheduled for September 16th.
Fortunately, I have an employer willing to help me as much as they are able in my recovery by providing accommodations while at work so that I will be out of work the least amount of time. Unfortunately, the initial time off of work following the surgery is longer than I have PTO to cover, meaning I will go unpaid for any additional days I will miss, along with any days in the future I may need to miss work for follow-up appointments or physical therapy. The recovery time looks like it will be 2-4 months to return to daily activities in a brace and 9-12 months from the surgery to return to sports. It's going to be a long road.
The use of any donations will go directly towards making sure my medical bills, normal monthly bills, and any recovery expenses that I will have trouble covering while trying to focus on getting back to health, are covered. I do not have a high-paying job and I regularly work 10-12 hours a day to try to pay down debt I accrued while unemployed for 8 months and normal month-to-month bills. I will not be able to work these sort of hours for months into my recovery and I will fall behind on things quickly without help.
