Chris Mpaka Father's Funeral

Chris Mpaka is a young man who came to the United States a year ago to play basketball at a Junior College at Frank Phillips College in Texas.

When he arrived from the Congo, he had a small bag and one pair of shoes with holes in them. When he left home he left behind his double amputee father who had diabetes. His father has since passed away a few days ago and now Chris is responsible for his father's costs for the funeral. This is extremely difficult, as Chris cannot work in the states as he is on a student visa.

We are starting this fund without his knowledge to help him focus on his studies and his sport as he has a tremendous future! Since he has been in the states he has been very involved in giving to the community that gave him a chance to achieve his dreams by hundreds of hours of community service!
